We recently picked up a 2014 Sequoia for the shop. Our old 80 Series Cruiser needed to retire as the shop truck and be a strictly trail rig. One of the things that bothered me was that the rear cargo area 12volt plug didn't stay in the hole. The little tab that snaps it into the hole had broken off so it was always just hanging there. I cut it off and figured I would replace it with something better. After thinking about it, I decided I wanted more than just a 12 volt plug. I designed a small plate that fits into the recessed area of the wall panel but can now hold 3 accessory plugs. Here are some pics of what we came up with. I do have a question; what years/trim levels came with the rear 12volt plug in the wall panel? For reference we have an SR5 Premium. We are considering going into production on these if the demand is there but we will see. Here's a before and after.

I guess I can somewhat answer my own question. After some research I was able to find pics of this plug equipped in an 08, 10, 11, our 14, and a 15. Not sure if later years came with this plug or not. Still digging. Looks like it was offered across the board from the SR5 up to the Platinum. My last question is this; is anyone interested in us making these? We make the same basic thing for the 3rd Gen 4Runner and it sells extremely well. The entire set up including all the 12v plugs/accessories, wiring, connectors, screws, bezel, cut template, and instructions would all be included. Should be in the $45 range but don't quote me on that yet. Our 3rd Gen 4Runner version has 4 holes and is $50 so I think we would be in the $45 for this one but I need to do a bit more work before I can get an exact cost.
