Ia m planning to put a aussie/Lokka locker at rear diff of my 1989 HJ62. But I have a LSD already. Did anyone put his rear LSD on front? What would be the possible problems?

No problems that I can think of, major home run. In fact, IMHO the bigger home run would be to put an LSD in both ends if you'rs is not a major "rock" rig.

I have an LSD in the front of my BJ60. The steering when in 4wd is definitely heavier (I do not have power steering). I have no problems with it. I don't think I'd do the LSD if you did not have hubs that can be unlocked (ie: if you have drive plates on the front think twice about this).

I hope nothing I am doing the same right now. The diff's are in the shop (don't trust myself :doh:and/or my mechanic) and due back any day. Have done so on one other curiser before, stiff stearing some time but most of the time just forget the front and wheel, worked great on a past 60.:steer::steer::steer:

Just to clarify, you are saying I can put my original rear LSD which is the in the original rear diff, in the original front diff.
By the way I have the hubs at the front also.
That is great :D:D:D

yes you can move it to the front w/o any issues at all. its the same carrier and the entire third member is actually interchangeable.

so proceed on man.

The LSD use it's a matter of taste .. I thought ( repeat it's My opinion ! ) for off road it's waste of money .. when you relly need 'em, they never do the task ..

In case that I place a LSD in front I would rebuild it ( Toyota sells a kit of clutches ) and add some shims to make it works better ..
