Does anyone happen to know if the rear shock lower bolts and thick washers are a readily available part at my local dealer? Mine got smashed on some rocks during our last outing and need to be replaced. We are leaving Wednesday morning for a trip, so I either have to run across town to the Ace hardware hoping they have the size, or hope the local dealer has them.

Does anyone know if this is a stock item? I know I can wait until tomorrow morning to call them and ask, but the "local" Ace is 30' away so if I have to drive over there would rather do it today!

TIA for any help.

I just replaced those yesterday when I did my rear shocks, so I have the part # for you: 90119-A0018

No idea if local dealers will stock those, but they likely will as they are used for 4runners and FJ Cruisers as well.

They washer is actually bent up against the body of the shock and touching the shock. I have a metal noise popping coming from the rear when articulating that I'm trying to track down. Hoping this is it.

Try using a vice, hammer and a bench grinder with a steel brush or drill with a grinding rock. It's not as bad as you think.

I'm hoping you opted to reuse the OEM, or get new OEM. The hardware store might have the size, but pay attention to strength too. Those take a lot of stress and just any ole junk quality bolt won't do.

Many thanks Crimson. That part number is indeed correct, my local dealer didn't have them on hand but got them for me next day (today).

At $12.85 for the pair of them, including tax and paying full price from my local dealer, it's not worth messing with....

Problem solved. Good choice.

Does this bolt press right up against the bushing / shock ? I am getting ready to install my dobinsons rear shocks and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to use the extra washers that came with. The fox shocks I have installed now look like they have a larger washer on both sides of the bushing

I need to order 4 more. Two as eplacements and two to keep as spares. 90119-A0018

They last about two months before being bent by rocks.

Just ordered 3 more bolts. Rocking chews them up.

That is correct; but they're high strength bolts. You won't find them just lying around anywhere.

That you. My issue isn't with the bolt but the hole. I'm changing the suspension out and when I went to remove this one it came out with no resistance. I re-threaded the hole (m12x1.25) but it appears that there just isn't enough left for the bolt to grab a hold of. Wanted to double check the size as I'm about to order a helicoil kit.

Gotcha. I'd recommend investing in a metric thread pitch gauge:

You don't need an expensive one; the cheap ones work just as well. Do not buy this crap:

Also, FWIW, Toyota recommends Timeserts. I don't have a dog in the fight.
