Long time lurker, first time poster.

Wrapping up my OME lift install today and ran into a head-scratcher. Dropped the rear off the jack stands first – sitting pretty at ~55 cm (22”) hub to fender. All good back there.

Moved on to the front, expecting the same story. Nope. Car kept sagging down and now I’m sitting at only ~40 cm (17”) hub to fender. Ouch.

Still on the stock torsion bars. Cranked the adjuster bolts all the way in – no dice, still 40 cm. Tried re-indexing the bars, but could only get about 2 splines before I ran out of room to get them back in. That setup, with the adjusters bottomed out, only netted me ~47 cm (18.5”). From what I’ve read, stock ride height should be around 48 cm (19”).

Thing is, I’m aiming for a ~2” lift up front to match the rear. With the current setup I honestly don’t see how I can re-index any further to get there.

Truck has 419,000 km / 262k miles. Torsion bars toast? Or am I missing something obvious? The weird part is, it rode fine on the factory AHC shocks before I swapped in the OMEs.

Any input appreciated.

I did the reindexing at the front with the adjustment bolt all the way wound out (but still attached) is there another way to get more than the two splines I got out of it?

Any input is appreciated!
