Rear Lift gate compatibility

Not sure if this qualifies as tech.... But will a 62 lift gate fit a 60? Wiper, door lock, etc... I have a lead on a nice used one for a good price.

Yes. NLXTACY can tell you personally. He was arguing this point last night the they were slightly different and lost.

they are slightly different.
teh 62's have some extra brackets inside for the power lock mech.
they will work on a 60, not so sure a 60 would work on a 62....well it would fit, but you might need to lose the power lock.

Cool, thanks. I am in the process of "restoring" my 60 and my current hatch has rust around the rear window due to a dent by the PO. I figure it would probably be cheaper to pick up a new hatch than to repair the existing one. My 60 does not have a rear wiper or defroster, so I guess those will just be for looks.
