A 1310 output from the t-case is around $75. NEapco also makes a flange to adapt a 1310 to the rear diff, I don't know cost yet. I do already have MOST of a 1310 dc shaft, so that might be the cheapest way to go. Not necessarily the best. I know the 1310 dc shaft is in just about every jeep cherokee ever made, so pretty easy to find. There is no way to convert a 1330 joint to the early diff with bolt on parts. It can be done but requires a trip to the machine shop for custom drilling a blank flange and a shaft from an explorer.

The Toy dc from a 84-85 will be harder to find, atleast around here. When I move to CO that'll probably be different.

So is the 84-85 already clearanced from Toyota or can it be done to get even more than the 35*? The tutorial on clearancing is a HUGE Help. Thanks, that rocks.

As of right now I have to stay with the early pinions. I just got a front in to put in the rear as the rear was bad, and I need the $$ to finish the project. If I get fine splines later I can just get a flange from Kurt then. I'm not too worried about strength as the traction bar should keep it alive.

Time to price out some parts. :hhmm:

all the solid axle mini trucks had the ~35 Degree cv's in the front, but only the 84-85 are larger and stronger.. then they used the same cv on the IFS trucks, but most of them have less working angle.. for some odd reason the CV i pulled out of my IFS 4runner had 35 degrees, but it could have been a fluke, or a PO Mod. I will look for one for you at the junkyard next time im there..

xj nation what are you doing for the front driveshaft?

I have a 265/205 w/ a 14 bolt diff.

I am using a 1310 cv 32 spline yoke for the rear tcase output. the driveshaft will be a 1310cv w/ a 1350 on the diff end and it shoud be a bout 24 inches

I am strugling w/ the front driveshaft, since the one that the drivetrain came w/ it's no good.

I am looking into buying a flange for the t-case front output to use the LC driveshaft.

As it is, I am not to sure of the splines on the front output on the 205.

does anybody know the splines?

the donor was a 3/4 ton 77 chevy truck

So I gotta ask, 22 1/2" frame height really that high???

On 35's... kinda. Mine was 23" on 38's & SOA leafs.

but I also had a driveline angle problem.. limit the droop or cough up the bucks.. If it's mainly a trail rig, minitruck u-joints are good to 42°, and the vibes aren't THAT bad..
