I have a 1969 FJ40 with Diamond axels and a SOA setup the rear pinion angle is facing slightly upwards when sitting on the ground, at full droop it is lines up with the driveshaft , it does have a Double cardon setup on the transfer case side . My question is having the pinion angle facing slightly up when sitting on the ground going to cause premature wear on the u-joint?
Any info would be appreciated. Cheers Dennis

Well I cut the spring perches off last night . I plan on remounting them today. I see what you are saying about the getting oil to the pinion bearings. I haven't had any vibration problem in the past.

that is true , the differential housing can carry quit a bit oil Due to the internal seals. well i got it all back together looks better then it did

Put it at 9 or 10 * with perches at 0*, oiling will be fine.

The pinion is supposed to point towards the transfer case when using a double cardan joint.
