Hello everyone,
First, apologies for the terrible pics but you get the idea.
After dealing with no rear dome light working with the doors and hatch for a couple years now I finally dug in and started tracing wires, again. Bottom line, at the bottom of both b pillars there is multiple terrible splices Toyota did and all but one had corroded. I had found a few in the past but these were deep in the wire bundle that I didn't catch the first time. Obviously water got in there somehow someway long ago but it was before me. Both sides have the connections almost under where the driver and passenger seatbelts bolt to at the base.
I didn't take post pictures given it's 105 in my shop and I was done with it. Most of you should know how to splice properly but if not, the interweb has plenty of how to's on it.
Hopefully this helps somebody that was stuck like I was.
