Rear Bumper

That looks good. One concern I have is how close it is to the body. It will flex, and if you come off a ledge, you could do more body damage. I'd widen the gap, and use a rubber seal to make it look clean.

Forget ledge!! I'm thinking speed bump.

It's a great looking bumper! Kudos to you for bringing another product to the 100 series!

Totally agree. That's more than a concern, that should be addressed prior to any installs. They way its set up in that picture it will crumple on both sides.

Any recovery points?

Looks great so far!

Well, this exact same design has been on Mikes 100 for two years now without any damaging effects. It's mounted quite securely with ample clearance for movement without damaging any body panels.

There will be recovery points added on production models. This one I built for Delta doesn't have them because he plans to just run a d-shackle in the receiver hitch and didn't want his wife knocking her knees on them while accessing the hatch.

For referance, Mikes bumper.

+1 interested!

It is a great bumper with a good solid and tight fit. I am very picky about vehicle add ons to the point sometimes I leave things stock because I know I won't be happy with aftermarket items. Action's work is spot on and well thought out. It is triangulated well and the symmetry is fantastic from side to side.

The way the Hundys rear frame cross member is boxed I think there will be minimal flex if any. I plan on adding some Diffuse Rigid X flush mount LED's to the corners just under the tail lights. They should be in tomorrow. I will post some pics after They are fitted.

Are the sides perfectly verticle or do they lean in towards the ground?

Redcrayon - check your PMs

There are a lot of folks here wanting a rear bumper but the $1,500.00-$2,000.00+ cost is a little more than they can swallow. Not to mention how the wife will react for the next 50 years.

Trying to figure out how to buy one. Maybe tell her I won it in a raffle and only had to pay freight. If she catches me there will be a 100 for sale quick and cheap.

Let your wife drive it and hope for a bicyclist to clip a corner of the tupperware bumper. The price is not that bad once you price a new plastic cover and hardware from Toyota. A grand for a plastic bumper is really hard to swallow.

Do we have any ideas on pricing for this bumper yet?

Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD, and hopefully approved by the NSA.

Somewhere in the vicinity of $1200 without a swing out or the reflector/light pockets. That is not set in stone though.

The Rigid X flush mounts came in. I thought they would have to mount vertically due to space constraints between the body and bumper. They fit perfect horizontally.
