Forgetting the cost at the moment, the bumper you are building is impressive with few, if any, issues. You certainly covered just about every aspect. You seem to be a very thorough and quality minded individual and I compliment you on your work.

I guess I don't get the cost problem some folks seem to have with this.
This is a $2400 bumper with the swing out.
A slee with ladder/tire carrier is ~$2600
An ARB with tire/cans is ~$2600
A BIOR with dual swings is ~$1800
These other bumpers come powder coated but other than that this pricing is right in the market range.
You are correct Mr. Taco. I think the BIOR bumper is an excellent choice and the best deal by far. I only need the bumper with a rear tire swing out mounted in the center. That's will be my choice. It meets my needs.

Question about those rod ends, those are 3/4-16? I saw in your video the striker on the driver's side of the swing out is dead-nuts-centered in that semi-circular notch. Do the rod end manufacturers begin cutting the threads, or “clock” (for lack of a better description) the same? I'm wondering if there would be a significant difference [problem] if one rod end had its threads clocked 90-degrees off from the second rod end and that would cause the swing out to be 1-2 degrees too high or too low, and the striker would “just miss” the center of that notch by a 1/4”.

One thing I would change on that bumper would be the pop-pin handles. Instead of the round ball handles, i'd opt for T shaped handles. mc master sells them. Here in the north east, i've have problems with my pins freezing (cold weather) and not being able to pull up on the pins to release my swingouts. Having the T-shaped handles that i've switched to, i have enough to grab on to so i can easily release the pins.
There is no worry of that with these heims. The threads are fine enough to make adjustment very precise.

If cost was not an issue, I'd buy the Action Fab bumper. Quite possibly the best one available.
How could you surmise that by looking at some pictures?

Either way. I am not going to say I make the best product out there. I feel I'm comparable and that my design is well tought out. But companies like ARB and Slee do make a very well made product. This isn't a pissing match though. My bumper is very different from theirs. It's nothing more than another option.
