Rear bumper on a 45L Truck

Yes, Brett that is the Stretched Toe Limo. It is now a rolling chassis with the complete drivetrain installed. Unfortunately it is now on the back burner while I change the front suspension on the Truggy

Here's the only picture I have of a rear bumper on this computer. It's a TLC one. I think a swing out is not necessary if you have a pick-up bed. I am planning on sticking an FJ60 or FJ55 tire carrier up under the bed of mine.

OJ - Any pictures or ideas how TLC mounted that Kaymar to the frame? I've tossed the idea around about using a tire carrier bumper of some sort for my 45, and I've seen TLCs trucks with the Kaymar before, but I just don't have enough imagination to figure out how that bumper is mounted to the frame.

Yeah, you can take the rear valance off because the rear tail lights are going to be supplied with the bumper, but the tailgate hinges attach to the valance.

So with the Kaymar on, what are the tailgate hinges mounted too.

Also, just FYI, I used a FZJ80 rear undercarriage tire carrier on my 1978 FJ45 and the carrier matched up perfectly. The reason I'm thinking of a bumper/carrier combo is that the 285 underneath the bed sticks out pretty low, I don't currently have a bumper, and I like the looks.

Spring over is being considered as well, however, I just upgraded to an entire OME lift.

I was thinking about putting an auxillary gas tank back in that spot and running the filler neck up through the rear, maybe through the bumper like from the 80s.
