Thought I would share what I have done on the bumper so far. Got the bottom section completely welded. Need to remove some spatter and smooth the welds. Will do the tire carrier this weekend.

good job, I like it. You think you could send me dimensions for it. I may weld one up. Where did you get the steel, how thick, what kind of welder. I guess I should check out your link first. Looks good though

Check out the link. It describes the design process. I used 1/4" steel, plasma cut on a CNC table (MIG welder, .035 wire, CO2 gas). Dimensions would be hard to give ya.

looking for demensions on your mounts. Material sizes/ widths etc. It looks like I have roughly the same sizes but mine sits about 1/2 higher as far as I can tell.

did you make that design in CAD? I saw it on your other post. If you did that would be sweeeeeeettt for the rest of us. I'm just curious like most of us on your mounts, angle for the end pieces(the cut going up and the angle going around) Thanks

sounds great! I think your design is good, strength should depend on the welds.

Any idea what the final weight will be? I have heard about probuction bumpers with 3/16" sheet. Is the weight difference worth the extra strength? Im worried that my poor little pig cant handle too much extra weight, haha.

CAD says around 125 lbs. My SOA FJ60 sits higher in the rear than the front, so I hope it will level it out. As it sits right now, without the tire carrier, it weighs around 85 lbs.
