Can I get the definitive part numbers for doing a rear axle rebuild? Mostly not sure on the wheel bearings. The wheel bearings are the only part numbers that I've seen that are different or have updated part numbers? Need to rebuild my 1995 Cruisers rear axle after noticing a oil leak comming from my rear hub. Thanks!

@beno can hook it up for parts

What we need is a running thread with lists of part numbers/parts for the common jobs, all in one place. Lists for head gasket replacement parts, front axle service, rear axle service, cooling system hoses, clamps and components, HVAC system, rubber/body components like molding, glass runs and weatherstripping, fasteners, door components (window lift motor, regulator, lock actuator), starter and alternator components, EGR system components, vacuum hoses, ATF hoses, power steering components, etc, etc. There have been separate lists posted up over the years here and there but I don't recall them all being in one place??

Check the cheatsheets in this thread, Somebody display a really nice job putting that together:

Front Axle Cheatsheet

The front and rear inner and outer wheel bearings are the same part numbers.

Also, you can buy the timken bearings (they are oem supplier):

qty 2 because you need one for each side :

Timken JLM104948 qty 2 ($15.33 each)-- inner bearing
Timken JLM104910 qty 2 ( $3.99 each)-- inner bearing race
Timken SET47 qty 2 ($13.13 each) -- outer bearing and race.

Roger that: the suggestion was more about developing a Forum reference ie: so anyone could find the group of part numbers needed for the common service and repair items and assemblies, all in one place. Of course, anyone can look up part numbers in the various online databases I suppose.

It is also necessary to define "rebuild". Is this a wheel bearing service, brakes, differential, and so-on.

"Axle rebuild" implies hub-to-hub and that can turn into close to 100 part numbers.

A bearing service for a FF rear would be:

90311-62002 x2
43422-60040 x2
90310-35001 x2

Wheel bearings, if required 90368-45087-77 and 90368-49084-77. Two each.

Thank you Dan, yes I was implying a wheel bearing and axle seal service.

Then you are well served....:)

And do not forget:

Diff drain plug gaskets: 12157-10010 (x2)

And pre-load lock nut screws: 42419-60011 (x4)...

That, along with old CDan's list is pretty much perfect.

Excellent information, as usual, from the parts gurus. Thanks

And don't forget:

(2) 90341-18021 the new and Improved Allen Head Diff Drain Plugs (better than Hex Head)

One for Fill + One for Drain

90341-18016 gets you one with a magnet for the drain......:)

Why even worry about this. Email Beno and tell him you want everything for job "whatever job".

The Timken wheel bearings are cheapest on Amazon, IME.
