hi

my rear axle hard line is pretty corroded on the outside. i have to do some work to the rear brakes anyway so i figure now is the time to replace it.

i've never dealt with the hard lines, what is the best replacement idea? dealer new part? generic stuff from NAPA etc and a tube bender? i'm going to swing by the dealer at lunch just to see what the damage will be

you can get hard line at your local parts store cheap lik 5 bucks for 3 feet, jus got done replacing all hard line, dont waste time on a line bender its easy enough to bend by hand, sounds harder than it really is.

OEM, OEM, OEM..... :D

save yourself the time and headache of trying to make something else fit and just buy the piece from Toyota already to "plug & play"

I second this. The toyota ones were cheap and fit. Not worth the time with anything else. Also brake lines are something you don't want to go cheap on.

coper lines are usefull for those purposes . ? why olny hard lines, soft line are not optional . ?

Agree with OEM only. There is no reason to mess with anything else.

Tapage-I don't think copper line would have sufficient strength. These are steel high pressure hydraulic lines.

i might have done oem only but they would not work due to mods and such, i have had no probs and probly never will, but if you can find them cheap go for it
