rear axle full floater or not?

@jfz80 sorry but I need more help. Can I install ARB air lockers on both my axles? If no then why not? I've been looking up information on the c-clip, and I'm not sure I'm getting it. My axles are in the pictures above from an earlier post of mine.

Short answer is yes. I had ARBs in my 91 with the semi float rear.
ARB makes lockers for many many applications. If you browse to the ARB website, all your questions will be answered.
 
Not to add further confusion, but I'm under the impression that full floats do not have a diff cover (one-piece axle housing), and the semi's do.
But take that with a grain of salt.

Not the best photo, but here's a picture of my '93 with a semi-float rear axle. You can see the diff studs on the diff cover. This was the night I installed an Aussie locker in the rear diff and I know we didn't have to pull the third member out.

My '95 with full float does not have a bolt on diff cover.
 
Your front would be an RD142, but you can technically run an RD153 if you want to keep them interchangeable.
So I'm guessing the only lockers I can get are air lockers? I've looked at OX (which I love, but they don't make them for Toyota yet), I've looked at E-Lockers and I've looked at LSDs. Seems the only ones that work are ARBs because I don't want the Yukon lockers that have a composite core. Does this seem to be an accurate assessment, since I have the 30 spline 9.5 with c-clips?
 
Yeah looks like both the Eaton and TJM are for full floating applications, so wouldn’t work for you. Maybe ARB is the only way to go for selectable. The Harrop also says not for c-clip differential.
 
You could always get a cable locked 60 series axle from an overseas truck. Factory Toyota goodness and would be a full float axle. I had one a few years ago. Or do an auto locker like a Lockright, but I’m also a huge fan of selectable.

Lock right is a detroit style. Not a fan of the clicking hahaha

Instead of guessing, why not reach out to one of the several parts specialists on this forum?
Cruiser Outfitters and Valley Hybrids off the top of my head.
 
Why go to a retailer when I can ask the people on here, who genuinely care if I succeed on my own? I really appreciate all of you for your speedy responses. I'm not jumping for answers from retailers that aren't personally reaching out to me on this forum. I'd rather establish real connections with people here, grow/blossom those relationships and eventually build upon them in order to help offer a better route for someone else driving a 30+ year old Toyota/Lexus. Yes, some of the rigs on this forum are newer...but the A*(*oles that are brave enough to own an FJ80 or older, deserve an award just because of the love and patience that goes into owning this type of vehicle. I appreciate your response. Y'all continue to be awesome!

Because the "retailers" that are on this forum are Land Cruiser specialists and enthusiasts. They are more knowledgeable than the majority of folks on here, and are very nice folks.

I know what you mean but the shop/ company affiliated individuals that are here are usually solid, and care about getting you set up right. I’d pick the brain of someone like cruiser outfitters.

But I’d say your best bet for a selectable locker will be arb, other than that I think you might have to resort to some obscure, foreign market factory cable locker that is adapted to fit your truck.
