Rear axle cut housing

I will assume you have tried to use bolts in the axle flange?
There’s two threaded holes you can run bolts into to help remove the axle.
If that doesn’t work I would then remove the actuator then you can see the fork.
If all that doesn’t work I would have to check my spare axle to figure out were you should cut.
Or maybe someone with more experience with the issue will chime in.

I don't have personal experience, but can't you take off the fork cover, undo the bolt, move the fork? It is more bolts to remove the actuator, but then the fork/collar will be released. Maybe you can slide the collar at that point..

Is it a OEM axle ? Is it still locked.
Having the tires off and the axle housing up on jack stands could help.

If it's stuck on the locker fork, the splined locking sleeve is probably binding on the axle spline. You'll need to release it there to get it out. At that housing cut position you'll have to cut through the oil splash shield inside as well. Pull the differential, more access to where you'll need to "cut" the shaft, and much less damage that way.

The cut needs to be in the back, right behind the fork. you want to get the shaft back in and cut the axle between the sleeve and the locker.

Also I appreciate the help
I suggest doing more research here in this section.
I know there are pics of someone having done this.
I don't have factory lockers, but can't you lock it, then pull it? I understand you can use a 9V battery to lock it if actuator is working.

Truth be told, I have never have had to do this. I have had my OEM Locked diff & Axle in and out many times. I do know that you won't be able to get the diff out with any amount of the axle still stuck in there.
I can't find the thread but I have read about this issue and they cut in the back. I did find this thread and they also talk about cutting the back in the splash guard
You don't want to cut into the OEM truss on the bottom of the housing you want to keep above that.

Post # 8 once you have that cover off you can lock or unlock the OEM locker with a screwdriver or small prybar if the splines are not twisted.
Post# 12 the sleeve in the picture has splines when axle twists between the sleeve and the locker then the axle gets stuck and why you need to cut between the two.
I can't find the tread that has a picture of the actual cut. But I think it was a 60 series. and it's been a really long time.

I would pull it out as far as you can and cut it off clean with a cut off wheel. Then tap what left's in to pull the sleeve off the axle.

And good job
