I am having an issue, that once I turn on the rear a/c system, there is a "fluttering" noise that is coming from the rear. I haven't been able to pinpoint it, but it almost sounds like ONLY from the 3rd row area.

I did some searches on here, where people have had blower issues or things stuck in the front filter.

Has anyone experienced this type of noise in the rear? If so, where is the place to start to diagnose it?

Thanks for the help

A flutter is rare and USUALLY caused by a leaf or piece of paper by one of the vents or filter like you mentioned. I don’t remember anyone else having this issue that was Mechanical.

Thank you kindly for the response. Would you recommend removing the headliner to look at the rear vents? Just stumped as to where to start.

That’s a job I wouldn’t do Myself (but then again I'm a mechanical idot). If you do, just make sure you get help because the headline will crease very easy. I wouldn’t jump right to that just yet. Just hang on for the pros that are on here, they will be able to help you a lot more than me as I’ve never experienced this issue. Some of these guys in here have had the entire interiors ripped out so they would know where to start.

Are the rear vents open? I know when mine get closed it sounds terrible.
Yes all vents are open. All function perfectly

Only when rear ac is turned on, this noise happens, which seem to come from 3rd row area only - can be heard up in driveers seat

Yeah in an ideal world I would like not to open the headliner if I can help it. I did it on a 100 to work on the sunroof, and it wasn't fun.

I just wasnt sure there is an obvious to check or fix.

Thanks
