We had this truck up for retail and it got totaled on a test drive. Title is clean as we did not claim it on our insurance.

Below is a link before it was wrecked on our sold page but it did not sell, I just moved it there so you could see all the photos. The second link is what it looks like now. No parts have been removed.

Not a clue what it is worth but it seems that there are some good parts in it as I have paid a pretty penny for used parts. It runs and drives great. (kinda still does). Thanks, Jeffrey

Truck was rear ended by a newer Ford F250 hence the damage up higher. No one was hurt. $6,500. Located in Grand Rapids, Mi.

why claim it on your insurance if it was rear ended? the guy who hit you is at fault.

no way that frame is straight.. these trucks are solid.. for it to be mashed in like that. that was a very hard impact.

Here is a video of what a rear impact at 29mph looks like....

Man. My heart goes out to you guy. Like losing a family member. Thank God for shoulder belt or you would have been in big trouble.

Wait....so whose fault is it? How do you go after the insurance company to fix your car properly when this happens?

Unless you have a "collector car" policy such as Hagerty with an agreed insured value for what you could sell it for on the current market aka $25,000, most auto insurance companies will often only cover repairs up to the lowest nada value.

When the cost to repair is more than this, they will consider it a constructive total loss, cut you a check for the lowest NADA and if you want to sell the wrecked vehicle, the title would be changed to reflect it was a salvaged wreck.

Then for the new owner to reinsure it after you restore it, you may have a tough time to get it insured for anything other than liability only insurance with a salvage wreck title. Depending on state.

Thats why getting it for $6,500 if it is repairable isn't too bad a deal since he didn't report it to insurance and has a clean title. $10,000 in repairs and you may have a $20,000+ vehicle?
