Well, i decided to take the 62 out on the trails for my last day at tech, and found a nice gnarly trail that id never run before. Funky rocky creekbed deal. Anyways, i made it like 3/4 of the way back down the deadend trail when i heard a loud hissssss. Oh yeah, there was a nice 3 inch slash right through the sidewall on my tires. Im getting a ride from a friend back out there right now, but i got a couple questions for you fellas.
1. I dont have a spare, so im tossing one of my stock 30 inch tires on there to get it out to the trailhead. I know that i need to unlock the hubs so i dont burn up my diff, but if i get hung up can i run it in 4wd for long enough to get through the deep ass hole at the end of the trail without burning anything up?
2. Could i get a tire shop to put a tube into my dead tire if i need it to get off the trail? You dont have to drill a second hole for a valve stem do you?
Thanks fellas, speed is of the essence, im headed back out to save my rig in like ten minutes and any help would be great.
