Noticed when driving to work this morning that when I was on the gas I could hear a rattle noise when on the accelerator, there is no noise when at idle or when reving the engine.

What could this be something with the tranny? Throttle cable?

Can you tell us more about this rattling noise? Does it sound like pinging? Try popping the hood and have another person rev the engine while in Park. See if you can hear / locate the noise then.
