how do you see if its full or empty ?

i like the period correct bling-thing ...... :)

i have recently converted and gave my self to
violet blue silver ......

gold was getting old , and both mr voodo & his excellency sir. nolan told me what i needed to hear .....

i also took on my first ful;l floating rear axle , it went fully cosmetic on me .... i started out with all my personal stash finest
gold plated anything , but quickly found out what i did not have , which turned out to be alot of assemble externally visible , TOYOTA did still have somewhere out there , was all now a form off formal silver zinc now 100% ......

it's all very true too ......

nice engine bay !

below is my take on
gold being old ,,,,

in all reality J.I.S. , the ( Japanese Industrial Standard ) has phased it out completely , due to a host of reasons , environmental stuff , but in my own R & D ,
here at the laboratory , late in 2022 , early 2023 , i took on re-designing / re-engineering the F1.5 - 3F-E / 3F carb thermostat housing hardware ,, because TOYOTA started HOT DIP galvanizing it for some silly reason i never could find out ?

the J .I .S. Strength class's in metallurgy technology from Man 1st placing hit foot on the Moon to a Space X Rocket landing by it self on the same end it left earth again had all taken place .....

TOYOTA forgot we were still here ...........in our community and needed those bolts more then ever before ...........

that was the moment in my Toyota whatever it is i do , early fall 2022 , i learned all about " Salt Spray Ratings " in relation ship to meturgy corrosion and tensile strength .........

there all related ....

so the below , is now my chosen path and why on this and that ,,,,,:):wrench::wrench:

I’ll be going an economic route. Seems simple enough to mount.

Dorman 54002 Engine Coolant Recovery Kit, Automatic, Universal Fit Amazon.com - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016V2BIB0?psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_ct_CTFPJB2P06KGVACG8KC6&language=en_US

this is made in Chairman MOA grade " parts "

it is NOT UV rated nor chemical resistent ,

the black metal curtain rods cage will rust apart in less then 364.9 days

the real McCoy economic route for you is to place a MUD classified AD WANTED FJ60 / 62 coolant over flow bottle ....

the mounting bracket profile / Trapizoid detail started in 1961 FJ40 - all the way to 1990 FJ62 / HJ61 HJ60 BJ61 BJ60 ........

you can HOME DEPO the hoses any way that you can or like ...

as long as the pre owned bottle is SOUND " plastic -wise " the dirt and grease oil grime is NOT a topic to fret about ....

DENSO / NipponDenso ASMO made those suckers BOMB proof back in the day ........

i will post pics of my various Rodos using a few NON-Land Cruiser or other land cruiser coolant and washer bottles to simply get by as a student 20' something back in the day

all that matters here is STILL using a TOYOTA oem made in japan spec. part / parts ,

no chairman MOA amazon ....... = poor choice ....

note : do NOT confusse this topic with the headlamp washer bottles turning into Potato Chips by the mid 2000's .......they were all made by KOITo thin as well ....
Koito Glass ! 😆 :wrench: :wrench: :wrench:

this is my personal horde of TOYOTA oem ones i have soaked in cast iron pipes ACID so strong it makes a foggy steam before you slam the oarnge home depot cap and run for it ,,,,, to avoid the toxic vapors ...

, then BLEACH full strength , i do not sell these , its a hobby of intrigue for me , and occasionally , i do simply hook someone up , say a single female owner operator of 2 little ones , or a broke college TECH student like i was long ago ,,,

simple KARMA you know ...

.

100% of these are usable in every way

this is a current batch , if i were to stick my bare skin hand in my current and ever evolving Skunk-Worx Laboratory Cocktail caldron there , for say 8.8+ seconds or less i would need skin Grafing or loose my hand ,,,,,,this is not a joke ...fyi

note the fizzy bubbles as i agitate it

these have been soaking for approx. 2-3 months ,

so , the point is there now klean like almost new , NO harm to to the plastic in any way , ......... i hope this translates into some helpful tech. for folks who have the intrigue factor too :wrench::wrench::wrench::wrench::popcorn:

i looks there ready to be rinsed off cold water hose then in ' Distilled Water " .......🔬👨‍🔬

I have to agree with Matt: the Dorman is the worst possible choice. Everything about it is sub-standard. Of course if you like doing things twice…

Even the bike water bottle is a big step up.

oh me .......... oh my .........😮

i totally forgot Mark , you got the initially proto-type by mistake for this latest one

i will say mark ..........

that one is " different " then the one in the mail to you now ,

PLEASE tie a red-tag on it and set it to the side ,,,,

it will NOT be a Land Cruiser application use part ,,,,,,fyi

but please do NOT toss it i need it back for my reference specimen and study use ,

this is how good things come into the world of new things in my world ..... , .there are a few steps along the way , to make them happen .....this is / was a needed step ......:D :wrench: :wrench: :wrench: :wrench:

happy Fathers Day Mark

@ToyotaMatt Per the above discussion, I was under the impression that you were mailing to me a replacement heater shutoff valve??? For tech purposes can you kindly confirm the thread sizes for the heater shutoff valve? It appears that maybe the intake manifold water heater valve port might be 1/2" bspt, but not sure of that. The threads for the shutoff valve that screw into the 90 degree fitting are smaller, but not sure of the thread size. I assume they too would be bspt?
