So I'm trying to diagnose why my horn doesn't work (never has since I've purchased the vehicle), but my question pertains to whether this mystery cable (I believe it is related to the horn in some fashion) should be in contact with something inside the steering wheel?
If you look at the picture, I see the cable is mounted to a metal bracket, but it doesn't connect to anything. It looks like there's a screw hole on the left side and something was attached at some point because the threads look used, but there is nothing there.
I've tried replacing the fuse for the horn and horn relay and no luck in getting the horn to work. But now I'm wondering if this mystery cable not being plugged in has anything to do with it. Hope it has something to do with this cable versus the spiral cable subassembly
