I just purchased a clean 2000 Landcruiser at auction in California (I'm in Memphis).
The seller (Carmax) sold the truck as a running unit.

The truck arrived and was dead. The truck has a dtc of b2795 , unrecognizable key.

It had a dead battery. I installed a new battery.
Cranks , no start. My autel is unable to communicate with the immobilizer, but can communicate with the ecu.

My question is, does it look like something is missing under the dash? What are these plugs???

I would be all over Carmax on this, but that's a different discussion.

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a spare plug with that many pins

The immobilizer is located in the ECM on the passenger side behind the glove box.
If you're actually able to read and retrieve faults then the immobilizer/efi circuit is functioning. The key you are using is not programmed if it is not recognized. It's possible the ECM was replaced with a used unit and the key(s) left uncoded.
