Wondering if anyone has seen this before - I have a Autometer pyrometer in my 40 that for seemingly no reason suddenly jumped to around 1400 degrees and just stays there. When I turn the key on, it resets to zero and then jumps back to the same position, and doesn't seem to move from there at all, even when driving. Would that be a probe problem? I thought maybe the wire to the probe might have shorted on something, but its a steel braided covering, and I doubt it would wear through. I haven't gone through it carefully yet, just kinda looked at it and saw that it wasn't touching anything and thought I would check here first before I started ripping out wires. Any clues? Thanks!
