Any opinions on what I should be offering?
Assuming you like it, then I'd vote for the minimum it takes to buy it. :)

In all seriousness - I think that would sell pretty quickly and around asking if it is as it looks. VVTi, nice color, low rust, LC premium, etc.

I'd find a locally respected shop, pay for a PPI, and then offer them what they are asking minus whatever the PPI finds. Make sure the shop checks and is familiar with the AHC system, and includes items like maintenance coming due. I'd also look up the VIN on the Toyota owners site and see what the history there says, see if you can talk to the most recent shops listed, etc.

Slee has a good 'buyers checklist' to get you started, if you need a primer.

Edit: and to be clear, I would DIY any items found on a PPI - not have them fixed at the shop.

I had no idea that existed. I just looked up the maintenance logs and they're amazing. All the work was done on schedule.

I'm looking at this LX470 at a dealer a few states away (Just lost on Cars & Bids yesterday, sigh...) (16990 + 499 dealer fee + 400 shipping)

Only 126k miles, but no indication of timing belt work. I would definitely have a pre-purchase inspection done.

Here's some undercarriage pics provided by the dealer. Some surface rust on frame and probably a few stuck bolts, but drive train parts and exhaust seem good.

Something is leaking on/from the gas tank. Wet stain on the skid. Tires are mostly done, too. Walk away.

When we bought our 06 LX we were actually on our way to pick up a 00 LX from a PPI. Saw the 06 at a dealer and test drove it. We needed to get the 00 back to the other lot by 5 pm and then went back to the dealer and had the 06 in our driveway by 8 pm! We knew it wasn’t going to stay available for long!

Another one caught my eye.

This one is close enough to check out in person. We'll see if the holds up.

The service records from Toyota, not great but it does show timing done at 90k. I'll pull the carfax if it isn't sold yet.

Looks like you are just going to have to pay up for this one unless you want to wait... much better deals can be had but might have to wait a long time in this market and finding one with minimal rust is very difficult in the north east.
We'll damn. Should have known. And I had just found iron pig to do an inspection.
Bummer, crazy how fast these go. If make it Duran
The good ones go quick. Be prepared.

... and be wary of the opposite IMO.

That should sell tomorrow unless something is up with it... seems underpriced a good bit. Strange that my toyota says tb at 90k and the listing says it was done at 120k.

Ad says "Rust free PRICE IS FIRM ... won’t take 1$ less".

It is not rust free. There is enough rust in the engine bay to make me worry.
Yeah, there are definitely some things that cause worry with this one, that being one of them. Also, it started out as a MA car, and I don't know how long it spent up there.

This popped up yesterday locally, gonna go take a look.
I'd take a look sooner rather than later, that's a decent price if everything checks out. As you're probably well aware now, rust and previous maintenance would be the first things to check. It's minimal in the grand scheme of things but the left side of the drivers seat bottom may be conveniently cropped out of the pictures. Not a deal breaker but they may be purposely not showing it.
