For those poor souls unfortunate enough to miss the camping at
Jocassee this weekend, there is the Pumpkin Festival in Pumpkintown.
Parade at 9:00 a.m. with a party at my place, Point-o-View, thereafter.
All are welcome. B.Y.O.B.
This Saturday....unless it comes a good rain, then it's just a party at my place.

women folk

Whilst youse Dudes go roughin' it in da woods send your women to Pumpkintown. They'll have a good time and will enjoy the Festival.
You know it draws about 30,000 people for the day. Crafts etc galore.
I provide the taxi service from Point-o-View to the Festival site for
our guests.

Pumpkinfestival is a pretty big event for any town, especially a town like P-town. Saw the festival for the first time a couple of years ago and man, it was wall-to-wall people. Y'all have fun!

It's fun for sure

Seeing the kids chasing greased piglets or listening to great Blue Grass
or eating fried chicken and pinto beans or the cloggers or the
non-motor parade or the wares and art for sale or watching the game
and smoking cigars here at PoV...it's a hoot!
I'm hoping the War of Northern Aggression campsite is set up this year.
I LOVE that cannon firing and visiting the encampment at night.
G-Vegas isn't having their Fall for Greenville this weekend so we are expecting
better than average crowds.
Wish you guys were here, Capt'n! Tell the girls we miss 'em and see ya'll soon.
Yeeee Haaaaa

I'm going to have to call you a pussy for that one JP. :flipoff2:

Hope the pumpkin festival and party went well D. I thought about you when my electric co-op magazine came in the mail today. It had a special on Pumpkintown, Aunt Sue's, and the pumpkin fest!!!

I got mine this weekend too. Nice to see a photo of Phyllis in there, too. About time she got some acclaim for her keyboard rockin'.

Can't wait until they spotlight Sunset, SC. :D

Festival went well

Party at the house went even better. :)
The crowd ate all the Duke's sandwitches and dips and snaks.
The cigars were SPECIAL and the guys enjoyed them.
( I saved a few for those cigar smoking UC guys who couldn't make )
The Wild Turkey was ice cold and the other beverages were
downed quickly.
We didn't get to use my new 70,000 BTU stainless gas grill however. :(
Oh well, there is always next time.
