What puller type is needed to pull the bearings from the front axle of an FJ40 ('72 axle)? Replacing seals so might as well do everything I can. Thanks.

No puller of any kind is needed. A brass drift is what you want to use to drive out the races. The outer wheel bearing will just fall out. The inner will fall out once you remove the seal. If you are talking about knuckle bearings they will just fall out and you will drive out the races with the aforementioned brass drift.

Well, not the same as rear axle obviously. So the races should be replaced? Next logical question is, what is used to set the new race?
