I am running 265/70/17 KO2 C rated tires. Discount tire recommended 50 psi. I was worried about ride quality so they said 42psi was ok. Today I noticed they were set at nearly 50psi and the ride even offroad was fine. They say I can go under 20psi offroad which seems crazy to me. I used to drop my Regular Tundra tires to 25 psi and they were squishy to me compared the normal 32psi. I don't want to ruin these tires with some stupid mistake. What say you all about all this drama.

50 rear 45 front highway. Loaded
28 or so graded rough dirt road loaded
25 or so rough dirt road under 35 mph loaded
12 sandy beach

That's what I do. Has worked well for me for 20 years.
31" BFG AT C. Fully loaded cruiser in Baja.

20 ish on rough dirt roads is doable if keeping speed down for a super plush ride, but mpg will suck big time.
"Best" tire pressure depends on weight of vehicle & what you want. Tires can take low pressure if you don't drive too fast or the sidewalls don't nail any GD sharp rocks.

Note that the pressures above are HOT tire pressures. Cold pressures would be 4-5 psi lower.

I run 18-20 offroad, 35 on. I don't mind softer ride. My MPG isnt gonna go up much regardless. Never had a problem with beads at 18 offroad.

I ran 36# on my C rated KOs. I got 110k out of them.

Now running 38# in E rated my KO2s

On my MTRs, I'll go down to 12-15 while off road and 32-35 on road
