I’ve got some rear drive shaft issues ... slip yoke splines have some play ...
after 300,000 miles I’d expect the wear. I’ve got new u joints but after looking around on line there is no definitive source for a complete new factory like replacement that I could find . I’m going down to drive train industries to see if they can repair / replace the slip yoke and splines ..
any suggestions would be kindly appreciated .

I think you're best off with a local rebuild, but if the spline play isn't causing an issue, do you need to do this at all? Maybe just grease the splines regularly and not worry about it? What are the symptoms?

Local shop just welded my flanges onto a good yota yolk they had lying around

A good ring in the driveshaft when taking off in 1st gear and a definte vibration on light deceleration coming off highway speed .. been greasing the splines with moly on a regular basis for 12 years ..
