Gary - Who did the cad plating on your bolts and what is the process/cost?

Frame looks great!

Please more info sir.

:grinpimp:

I've seen the frame and body in the shop. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Bolts and brackets were done down in Ft Worth at Billmark Plating. Last large box(20lbs) was $75 plus shipping costs to have stripped and CAD1 plated. CAD2 adds the Yellow coating that only changes the CAD colors and adds little to no more protection.

Cause we do it better in Texas. ;)

Looks great man!

Now Colorado does it better :)

Big surprise there, it's Texas and all...

Any updates?

Got the engine combo dropped back in and started with the wiring. I will take me several days to redo the harness, getting rid of all the unwanted parts and hiding everything under the plenum. Got the DS done today. Real pain in the ass, but looks cool.

Most people prefer to weld their frames, but I appreciate that Gary still uses small ratchet/pull straps as a means for structural splicing. Awesome.

Couple days....wow, wiring would take me months on some modern beast. Can't wait to see it in person.

That's a neat idea, hiding the wiring harness like that. I'll have to remember that for when/if I do a custom build.

We used to do it much better when Gary lived in Texas.
He did help

No

Jason really is gay.
Fixed it for you

It can suck sometimes, done it a few times for little things up top that bother me when I pull a motor, but it does really clean up the look of things when you pop the hood by quite a bit.

Gary, Are you going to replace your manifolds with headers since you have easy access at this point? Looks great!

Please explain the reasoning that everyone gave you. My manifolds on my Tundra have been replaced once due to cracking and from my reading it sounds like they're just going to crack again (and may have already, gotta change out the exhaust to hear better for sure). I thought the only solution was to go with headers.

What do you have on Project X?
