The 3FE has two O2 sensors for different reasons - both are upstream of the cats and each sensor is for a separate bank of 3 cylinders. Yep, it's OBD1.

Thanks for sharing this build with us! Keep the pics coming....

Today I got quite a bit accomplished. Got the coolant system plumbed all the way back to the radiator as well as made the radiator mounts. Also made a screen to keep flying crap out of the radiator. Decided to make all new tranny coolor lines to run back to the rear mounted radiator which allowed me to loose another 10 lbs in steel lines and a dozen overkill brackets. The lines will be teflon lined stainless braided hydraulicly crimped with #8 fittings at each end. I will solderon #8 male fittings at the radiator end and the tranny end so they will screw on easy with no leaks. Here is a couple of progress shots. I am getting impatient waiting on the body.

Getting excited.

Its missing. I am trying to get some custom springs made and never put it back in. I need about 5" in front and 6" in the rear and am afraid that Christos springs will be way to stiff. I may end up with spacers for now.

I did but haven't had time to look for a source. Thanks for the homework.

Call 'em and ask for B.A. Wilson, and tell him you are a friend of Kristie, they graduated together and I used to pit on his race car.....good guy

Saturday I cut and welded the 2 panhard rods and the 2 upper control arms to use the Slee adustable stuff. Toyota engineers must have known what the 80 series guys would be doing to their trucks, because that front Panhard is solid stock. One heavy MF. You definately don't ever have to worry about that thing breaking are bending.
I also decided to go ahead and use Slees 6" springs and front control arms. It will be about 1.5" taller than I wanted but it will all be off the shelf parts with no spacers or other caca. It looks as though I will have to run a different shock than the "L" because of the extended length not being extended enough. I have been looking at the BBCS 14" travel shock from Poly as a replacement and am looking for feedback on this shock.

I just put those shocks on the front of my truck. I've heard nothing but good things about them, and for the price, you can't beat 'em. Will see how they do out at Barnwell this w/e.

Front panhards can tear the eye open, across where the rod is welded to the eye, and then it pokes a nice hole in the sump :crybaby:

we use our ridepro comp shock here for 4" 80's has 10 travel front, and 12' travel rear, front is 65omm ish open 420ish mm closed and rear is 740ish mm open, and 440 ish mm closed, needs 50mm rear bump stop spacer, and 20mm front, and pin to eye convertor on top of rear shock mount.

the valving works well with big tyres.

Will do. From my understanding, there is a different "valved" BBCS for coil suspension. Not too sure what's different, but that's something you might consider....

I went by and checked on the body and showed up as it was coming out of the tank. All I can say is unbelievable. The body is stripped to bare metal with almost no rust and 0 bondo. The parts look brand new. It is being primed in DP90 right now and tomorrow I will post up the pics. If you have never seen a 45 pickup body in bright brand new looking raw sheet metal, it truly is incredible. I wish I could just shoot clear on it and go with it. Oh yea, got the BBCS shocks. Way cool. 15" travel jobs.

I will get some pics up this weekend. The body should be ready to mate with the chassis in 2 weeks. Its getting really close to Roundup. May not make it.

If you go to Katemcy, and the FZJ-45 does not, I will come steal it whilst you are gone...Mr. President.

And then I will win the "Best rig stolen from a guy at the roundup whilst he was gone" award, which you will have to present to me at the next club meeting.
