I had some left over lap belts from seatbeltplanet.com and decided to use them up.

For those looking to redo their jump seats here are some of the things you’ll need. All the below is used regardless of the model jump seat you have. Seat strap length is the only thing that will vary as the small jump seats aren’t as thick.

- White Seat straps are from Cruiser Corps
- Underseat bumpers (2) from Vescovo Toyota.
- Twist keeper for straps from Vescovo Toyota.
- #8 Finish washers from Ace or a big box store.
-#8 Screws. Ace Hardware or a big box store.
- Wire for inside the lips so the screws don’t pull through.
-M5x.07 Phillip head screws with washer and whiz nut. ACE Hardware had them.

Recovered the seats in Coral colored material from Cruiser Corps. I added 1” of foam to the stock seat foam. Fitment was challenging. Also found this gem for a shifter knob in my boxes of random stuff.

Looks great. Yesterday I went through and replaced al of the old rusty #6 sheet metal screws and cup washers on the backs of the seats and center with stainless round head #6 screws and cup washers from McMaster-Carr. One of those jobs that no one else will ever notice or appreciate; but dang those rusty screws sure did annoy me.

I just went through that with the drivers seat. I am now staring at the passenger side kick panel questioning life decisions. It might just be added to the box of things for the next owner.

Prep work for the new radiator is underway. Shroud and radiator support have been sandblasted and will be powder coated tomorrow. The frame was stripped underneath and chassis saver was applied with a follow-on topcoat. OEM radiator and other goodies coming from Vescovo Toyota of Las Cruces

Previous owner stated regular maintenance performed. Sure guy. At least they all wore evenly. Firing the sniper up this weekend. Then a new exhaust and tires. Then she’s for sale. Have a nice 65’ coming in.

No breaks until it breaks. The one darn thing I didn’t replace and am paying for it now with waiting to fire up the Holley Sniper. Damn you starter. Ordered a new one from Vescovo Toyota of Las Cruces . Great price, free shipping, no tax. Toyota Gear Reduction Part # 281006007084. Use code “freeship”. Thanks to @Godwin for posting the info.

Is there much difference doing the sniper on the F motor compared to the 2F? Wouldn’t think so, but everything I see specifically says 2F. Just curious.

I would imagine the install would be exactly the same. Battling it not wanting to start right now. I can get it to turn with the key but not start. So odd.

Those are the best problems!
One of these days I’m going to build a cruiser and actually keep it. Sniper and AC are on the list. One day might be soon…
Good luck! I like watching your projects.
