Will have 4 new steel rims on Wednesday, weather cooperating. I'll need to paint these things. Not sure how to prep them so the paint bonds well. Just a rattle can job. Any suggestions on paint, Rustolium and such?

thanks

I strongly recommend etching/sealing primer first. After that do watcha like. Otherwise they will rust up inside and cause air leaks eventually. I don't think enough people use water traps on their compressors.

The OEM steel wheels are already finish painted an argent silver color. ;)

I'm a big fan of Hammerite. I've used their grey/black on my bumpers in the past. It is also available in silver and for wheels I would get the Smooth finish rather than the Hammered finish.

If you paint them think about at least sangding them down. I would use a 220 grit at least and finish it off with some 320 grit paper and then bomb can away.
