I’ve been searching thru this thread and can’t find the wiring diagrams for each harness and which wire they go into for the non nav harnesses. does anyone have them saved by chance ?
See above, hope that helps.

Hey guys.
Anybody attempted a Tesla Screen in a 2002 LX470 with Mark Levinson stereo?
Thanks
Based on what I’ve read, I would avoid it.

Some love but some regret changing. The comments I’ve read range from too modern to missing analog buttons Ect

There are threads on the Tesla screen and isn’t on topic for this thread. Best of luck.

You’re definitely right.
Thank you so much!

Hi Everyone! Just finished rough wiring the swap & holy heck, it almost all works.

Two questions in case any one might be able to point me in the right direction.

1) will the ant up and down work without a radio installed? I kinda thought the radio had to first be turned on before the up and down button works.

2) My rear defrost button doesn’t seem to be working. I couldn’t tell from the pin diagram where to start tracking that down. Any ideas?

Thanks for all the great work on this forum!

Hi Guy's. So I've spent the whole afternoon and a lot of the evening looking through this thread and I have to say what great work, really really great.

The best and easiest thing is the 'non nav pinouts pdf'.. it say's it all really. (especially when I figured out the corresponding nav related pins were written on there lol).. that makes for a simple plug and play.

However, what i think would be very very handy is a corresponding pin guide for the old nav plugs. Only because there are a few variables (my wagon has the rear heater high low option for example), and this may help swapping the two over.
I say may because I am a few wires short on my new pigtails and I don't know if I will be able to figure out which spare wire will do the trick.. being non electrical and not being able to read the wiring diagrams without my head heating up to abnormal temperatures.

I see someone has a book with the C20 - C24 plugs but it only shows the pin details for the C22 plug on that page.. even the following pages would be great..

I will do some searching on the interweb and see what I can find.. I realise I ask a lot from fellows who have been helping guy's out since like friken 2016.. yea, s***, that's dedication.. all good, cheers. James.

This is what's in the Repair Manual, I wonder if it's the same information?

Hi Patassa mate, what are these manuals? I've been looking online for these pages but cant find them anywhere.. I'm trying to map all the pin options for these models and these charts you have seem to be the only ones I can comprehend.. wiring diagrams are incomprehensible to me lol.. the pin pdf though is awesome! but alas incomplete. Cheers.

Those were from the Factory Service manual I believe.

I've been reading this for a while and am about to embark. Are there any new stereo options out there? Did we ever get an absolute answer on if the converter will allow the Mark Levinson amp to remain?
Also, what am I missing from my list of parts?

2002 LX470

Non nav bezel, I have the digital

Metra Harness 70-8113
Brackets (86211-60071, 86212-60071)
Metra Antenna Adapter 2 to 1
Scosshe mda-b micro tip adapter
Trim kit, can someone point me to the right place to purchase? Part number?

Also, still nervous my ML amp isn't going to work. has there been any progress on that front?

You can put just about any stereo you want in there now. That's the beauty of this mod. Your tech can keep changing over the years.

You have to get them from a junkyard. If you just buy the connector they do not come with the pins. When you buy the bezel ask them to include the plugs on the back with 12” of wire

He could go shorter if needed. I wouldn't turn down controls in good condition if they only had 6" pig tails.

Thanks to redjet for his original spreadsheet which mine is based from. I mapped all pertinent pins for anyone to easily follow. My vehicle is a 2001 LX470 with Mark Levinson audio (North American LHD model specifically).

The relevant connectors are at the back of the AC Amplifier and the orange plug at the AC/Nav fascia. You will label the matching plugs on your harness I, H, F, G, and E. (I didn't order them that way, that's how the Toyota wiring diagram identifies them.) Also note the 20-pin connector at the audio control unit, it's a perfect match for the Metra 70-8113 harness.

I’m labeling my harnesses now. I don’t have rear heat. On plug C I’ve got a discrepancy. Yellow wire in 10, blue/red in 9, and black/yellow in 8? The diagram shows 10 as open. Also none of the wires show as yellow. Any thoughts?

So I have one rogue wire. Yellow in space 10 of plug C. Any idea what this is for?

So . . . . I got ahead of myself and jumped on a new manual rotary unit from a wrecker yard before reading all the way through the thread. I got the harnesses, labeled the wires per the cheat sheet, removed the chipped wood trim on the bezel. Then I read the part about matching the AC vs Heat for the rear. Oops. It sounds like no one has solved this mystery. I had actually deleted my rear AC lines (rotted out in the usual place) in the past and removed the third-row seats and mounting brackets. So not needing the ability to control the rear AC (with the incorrect heater controls on the panel), will everything else work? If not, I will have to source a new panel or kick the tires on a Tesla style unit after wiring in the pigtails.

All done. Here are the pics of my progress. It was very simple and thank you to everyone who put together the pin out map, etc. Now I just need to fine a good stereo. Any recommendations?

Only issue is the buttons on my new head unit take some punching to respond. Any recommendations on improving this? Also, my denomination are Celsius. How do I change to Fahrenheit?

Sometimes you have to clean the actual contacts behind the buttons.. like a switch they can get dirty and not make contact properly.. will require some disassembly..

I need to stop bitching about my radio and source some LC parts.
