Last year I completed the Nav delete on my 2002 LX… pin for pin on the sheet from RobRed… labeled each individual wire, so that I could trace out any issues in the future if necessary.

The only issue I had on initial startup was rear AC was intermittent… I traced it back to a bad connector housing on A19 pin. I replaced the connector with new OEM sourced from my local dealer… $10

No issues since

Are you 100% certain that the AC computer in your NAV delete bezel is functioning properly? Recommend double check the pin out wiring… Better yet, if you are able to contact a local member, and swap your bezel for theirs as a test, this could test whether your NAV delete bezel is functioning correctly. Or prove that there is a wiring mismatch.

I should mention that after reading about button issues, I replaced all contact buttons prior to installation…

If you can solder, it is not difficult… highly recommend a GOOD solder sucker… Japanese manufacture ENGINEER makes a very nice one.

See page 39 of this thread for better description of the issues I had… possibly provide insight to resolve your issue.

It has been a busy summer. I am just seeing this now, but still do not have a fix for my AC. This is the second bezel I am trying. Might just be bad luck, but I'd be willing to try a third.

@TXSunDevil Do you have any insight you could share on this? My LX is basically unusable in the humid NJ summer without AC.

If anyone has super human insight into your issue, @TXSunDevil is THE MAN…

Reading your previous post #820, you have a unique issue…First thing, I’d clean or replace the outside temp sensor so the computer can get an accurate outside temp reading.

But I must say, if you have tried more than one ( known to be functioning) bezel and you still have no joy, you definitely have a sensor/wiring problem.
Have you checked all of your grounds?

I would triple check the wiring. Do you have am FSM? I would go through the standard troubleshooting steps. They walk you through the diagnostic.

Just discovered something after I did the swap. Everything was great, then I removed the old Navigation ECU which is located under the passenger seat and sold it. I then noticed that I lost the front driver side speaker and tweeter. Found the wire diagram for the amp as I thought it went bad. Noticed that the front driver side speaker ran through the old Navigation ECU. I pulled the passenger seat and found the wire harnesses that went to the Nav ECU. Connected the 2 pink wires and the 2 violet wires and then I had my sound back at the front driver side. I saw nothing about this anywhere but if you do remove and sell that Nav ECU you'll have to do this trick!!

Post #118 mentions the bypass and shows the schematic. Glad you got it up and running

Everything functions after the install except the OFF button on both and antennae controls .... Anyhelp to rectify this would be greatly appreciated .

Has anybody seen or tried one of these? It looks like it replaces the nav screen and radio, but includes the HVAC controls. I know these tesla screens can be trouble, but this could be an easier, and cheaper, option if it works.

I've never seen this one .

I decided to take the plunge and order one. Obviously it isn't a Tesla screen, but I imagine the wiring will be fairly similar as these all seem to be coming from the same place.

Please share photos when it arrives.

Any luck with the unit??

It will be shipping soon! They asked to see the back of the factory nav to determine the correct cable, so they at least seem to do their due diligence.

I found this one, the description leads me to believe maybe its plug and play........

@TXSunDevil and others, thanks for the huge assist with this. I didn't get to tinker with my LX much since I gave the LX to my wife. Now that I've gotten the LX back in the divorce, I came back to clean up some bad links. My apologies for the poor housekeeping.

I've since switched from hosting the spreadsheet on my Google Drive to self-hosting on my NextCloud setup. I'm hosting a few other things on my rackmount and it's been rock solid, so I hope this solution is reliable. If anyone has updated the spreadsheet, please reach out and I'll obsolete the old one.

As an added bonus, I also added a link to a 3D model of a radio bezel. Not all conversions need it, mine did. Download the .STL and print it, or have a 3D print service do it for you. I just checked with CraftCloud and they quoted $10 shipped for the part printed in black ABS, which is pretty freaking reasonable! A bunch of other colors are available if that's your thing. Happy motoring.
