uh, the actual photo's ... blame the tequila not me, I never really am at fault. 
More model numbers and the actual pin lay outs. .. .
Guys, you'll notice that I kept rotating the camera around 90 or 180 degrees. I apologize for this but you should be able to follow the sequence. Basically, I'm giving a layout of the main harness, the harness as it's plugged in with the adapter numbers, 2 pics of the part numbers on the main assembly (not sure if that's really helpful), and then lastly the pin lay out (camera is tilted to slightly sorry, thought it showed more pins at a better focus).

Thanks for all the effort. It is looking like the 00 Lexus climate controls have the same pinouts as the the 99-00 LCs.
For forum members with poor eyesight (myself included), here is the serial number information off of the climate controls for a 00 LX:
(Pinouts - orange and white sticker):

I pulled my NAV/Climate/Audio unit again tonight to get more detailed pictures of exactly what the pinouts look like.
For testing purposes I have ordered a center dash trim piece with the climate control knobs from a 2000. I also have a double din OEM head unit (purchased from a fellow Mudder) coming from a 98. I'd like to source a double din HU with the built in multi-disc capability (or at least get pictures of the back of it).
Hopefully we will be able to compare pictures and determine what should fit where:
Here is another picture of the back of the MFD. I have grouped the pinouts by row (Row 1, Row 2, Row 3) and have numbered the pinouts from left to right by row (Ex: Row 1, 2 of 4).
Row 1:
Row 1, 1 of 4 (6 pins)
Row 1, 2 of 4 (10 pins)
Row 1, 3 of 4 (14 pins)
Row 1, 4 of 4 (8 pins)
Row 2:
Row 2, 1 of 4 (13 pins)

This 2001 unit is currently for sale on Ebay. There is a picture of the back, but I can't tell if they are similar to the Nav units.

Thanks for the heads up. I looked at it but can't tell exactly what the pinouts looks like. I emailed the seller asking for higher resolution pictures of the model number information and connectors for both the HU and climate control panel.
So far I have the following on order:
-HU from a 98 LC
-HU from 2000 LX
-Front trim piece with climate controls from a 98-99
If I order the LX non-NAV trim piece, I should have most of the parts I need for testing.
Does anyone know if you can just buy the connector pieces? I wonder if Denso sells them. If it gets more complicated, I don't want to cut my OEM wiring harness. I figured I could build patch connections from my harness to whatever connectors are on my final solution. This would make it much easier to put everything back to stock forum should I need to.
Does anyone have wiring diagrams for a non-NAV LX from 2001-2002?
Also, anyone know a European LC guru on Mud? I would love to see how their LCs are wired.

I'll donate my HU (non-nav Nakamichi from 2000). Let me know if you can cancel what's on order and if this helps. I think there's a stuck disc in the changer but it would certainly work as a dummy unit.
There may even be a situation where I can loan or donate the climate controls. (I'm looking to swap to 3 dial climate anyway).
