“Finn update: After 28 days at Batson, we're all under one roof again. He is doing well enough that doctors decided he could be discharged today. We'll still go in daily for radiation and PT and OT, but we'll all be able to stay at home. As much as we'd love to see you, it's going to be awhile before his immune system is ready for visitors. Thanks for all of your prayers and support. It's a big day for us. Please keep Finn in your prayers. Love to you all.”

Great work Finn !

Ron says their house looks like a medical ward but they are happy to be home.

Finn gets radiation every day at 7:30 for 4 more weeks then a week off then a new MRI.

Keep up the prayers for this tough little guy.

So glad everyone is home. Great news!

From Ron

“Aaaand we're back. Infection has us back at Batson. We'll stay here while on antibiotics and through this current round of treatment. Home was a nice break, but this is where we need to be for the time being. Keep praying for our tough guy. He's still doing well with treatment. Love to you all and Happy Independence Day.”

Keep the prayers going guys.

Any updates on Finn? I'm an outsider looking in on this, but can honestly say I have been praying for him and the family. Hope and pray that everyone is doing well and that strength and gains are coming day by day.

Thanks for the continued prayers. Tomorrow is the last day of radiation and then we wait about 4-5 weeks for the radiation to cool off before we can redo imaging and see where we stand. Meanwhile we’ll try and get the biopsy site healed back up. It can’t heal while it’s being radiated. So we’ll find out from Neurosurgery by the end of the week what their wound plan is. Hopefully we’ll be home soon. After new MRI we’ll most likely start with monthly chemo, but it all depends on status of tumors.

He’s done well through treatment, considering how brutal it is. He’s a tough dude. Regaining some movement in toes and legs, but still a LONG way to go. Gonna be a lot of PT and not sure how much functionality he’ll regain.

We’re very thankful for all the prayers and support. Please keep praying.

Finn is home again. They are in Methodist Rehab wound care getting his port site infection under control.

2 weeks until the next MRI.

Finn update: Results are back from his first follow-up MRI. Considerable shrinkage of all tumors in brain and spine. No current compression on spinal cord. All great news. Thank you all for your prayers and support. We will be continuing treatment in the coming months in both New Orleans and Jackson. We are hopeful with therapy and prayers he will recover some function in his lower half and beat this cancer. Please continue to pray for Finn and the rest of our family.

Outstanding! So great to hear this news.

Talked w Ron today.

“Hey man. Thanks for checking in. We're doing good. Slowly getting a little better. Getting a little movement back in legs. Starting to do some schoolwork and get out some. We've been in New Orleans each week for Hyperbaric oxygen treatments and home on the weekends. Tough schedule to keep. Next MRI is Oct. 1st, so we're holding our breath for that and praying for more good news.”
