I've tried to post a video but it won't let me. Here's the issue. I noticed a leak from what I thought was the steering fluid return line. But the other night i went to fill the PS fluid and as I attempted to bleed with front up jacked up...turning the wheel from end to end with engine off and on...as soon as I let it idle the fluid came pouring out of the reservoir. Is that internal pump failure, or steering box failure? I raplaced the return hose and attempted to once again bleed the system but no luck.

If the hose you replaced was hard as a rock, you may need to replace the other 3/8 hose down low and the 5/8' hose that goes from the resevouir to the pump. maybe the pump is sucking in air?

A leak on the suction side will allow air in and foam the fluid, making it overflow.

I'd take a look at the large line from the bottom of the reservoir to the pump inlet.

Also, with the engine OFF, and the front on stands you need to go lock to lock about 100 times SLOWLY. Literally.

Then do it again with the engine ON. VERY SLOWLY.

Check the fluid about every 5 cycles.

Overfilled it?mine leaks when it whines I top it up. Does yours foam over all time when running? Not gasket powered, think squirrel sick in treadmill.
