I'm just going to step away. 😂

I have no idea. I assumed that when you quoted me and posted what you did. I'm out of the conversation - not sure I was ever in.
Oh shoot man, hang around!

I have no idea either...

Actually, could you hunt me up the driveshaft fastener part numbers? I saw a mix of fasteners when taking them off - not cool.

Pretty sure this is the 3-spd disc:

So wait a minute…
I thought the clutch for the 5 speed was a different clutch (and pressure plate) that had two versions - one compatible to the 3 speed flywheel and a different one that was compatible to a 4 speed flywheel???

If I’m getting this wrong and you can use either of the original style clutches for the 5 spd trans conversion, then I’d upgrade to the 4 spd hardware. Diaphragm clutches have benefits over the 3 finger style. Mostly they’re easier on the left leg, which is especially true with linkage operated. Hydraulic operated/actuated may be an equalizing factor, but I can tell you the 4 spd clutch in mine was always buttery smooth.

No problem. Bolts, washers and nuts. You're welcome.

Chock dem wheels when doing driveshaft 😘. I learned the hard way when i knocked the last bolt out of front driveshaft on my 80 and it started rolling backwards with me at the back of the front P/S tire😲😳😜. Had to grab the tire in this "O" 💩 moment to stop it and wiggle my way out😲😳🤪. I chased it down drive an got behind with 🦶s digging in until it Stopped 🛑. Still here 🤪🤣🤣🤣.

Been there, done that. Popped the driveshaft and quickly found myself being the wedge keeping the Pig from rolling on down our slight driveway grade. A couple passing by on their evening walk rescued a rather embarrassed trapped amateur mechanic. Guess they make e-brakes and wheel chocks for good reasons.

I did create this in the 40/55 section to get a few more eyeballs:

I am wondering if the bolts mounting the 4 speed were correct, does anyone know, can anyone tell me what the factory spec bolts are for the transmission mounting to the bellhousing?
As per Georg, M12x1.25.

I’m not sure if it was turned.
The clutch cover says ASCO on it, so maybe original?
If they can’t surface this one I think I will definitely try to round up 4 speed parts…
I do wonder if this was the original clutch?
I also wonder how that arm got mangled like that...

if they can’t turn your current flywheel, I’d round up all the 2f stuff. Easier to find later on.

That said I’d be really surprised if they couldn’t turn it.

I just don’t know if there is any benefit to running the later 2f over just the F stuff…on a 3FE for an H55F in a pig 🐖 😂
It seems like many who know say the 4-speed clutch is just much smoother.
I would like that.
The clutch chatter was really annoying.

I have used the Belmetric and this
Thanks!
These guys don't go up to M12 unfortunately.
They do have some cool stuff!

The H55F swap, using the F-series input shaft can use either the 3-speed or 4-speed clutch.
This causes much confusion.
I was trying to explain it to my wife, and I think she just decided to pretend it was interesting while inside she was hoping I would stop saying words.
My 80/100 series friend who just plays w/ automatic trannies asked the same thing!
