Right! Real question, does everyone pretty much feel like taking your vehicle down a drop like this is not worth it regardless?
Having just gotten back from Running Potts Man Jeep trail this weekend and the TAT to Kairos. (but in my D90)
My thoughts are nope.. for a 200 series, no point in modifying it enough to handle the buggy lines on Potts. That was obstacle #2 (N to S) 6' drop is being nice, its off camber as well when you start the decent. the next 2 are pretty much more challenging at least this weekend. We left for a later day and bigger tires, you really would need at least 37"s to make them safely, but probably have some damage anyway..
Anyway you could Mod a 200 to fit 37"s + but it really just becomes a crawler at that point, funner to get a buggy at that level IMHO..

I'll scratch that trail off my list. I would never do John Bull either. I've watched folks coming down John Bull and it is awe inspiring.
I’m still debating if I should hit it, I would want to get lockers, tundra front suspension swap (so I can fit 35’s), winch and rear bumper. Seems like a lot to me to just do one trail. When I first got my 200 I wanted to do the rubicon but after seeing some pics of members trying it here on Mud I changed my mind.

Scraped up the rear bumper plastic a little and knocked the cover off the trailer plug running Fins n Things in Moab. I was fully loaded and was squatting pretty good in the back. If I had a little rake I may have made it through unscathed.

Also knocked off the receiver cover on a trail by Toquerville Falls. Waze routed us down a rocky jeep / SxS trail at night trying to navigate to the falls.

Well, I had time to wash the truck and inspect everything after a fun weekend of wheeling last week. Aside from a couple of witness marks here and there, Looks like a couple of wheels suffered some flesh wounds:

And I have been planning on cutting off my exhaust pipe at an angle but nature solved the problem for me 😂

Yeah, I'd say so. I don't recall scraping anything the day before.
A few weeks prior to this wheeling trip I chopped off the resonator and ran the pipe to the side. Was debating if I should have it exit at the rear of the bumper or to the side. Considering I didn’t scrape maybe it provides a slightly better departure angle with it exiting to the side by the rear driver tire. Lol just one more thing to over think on our rigs.

Yeah, I think mine would be fine if I just cut it at an angle essentially lopping off the part that is now bent upwards. When I had it in the shop, that is what I intended but the guy apparently didn't understand and I didn't have time to fool with it when I picked it up. I'll get the sawzall out and take care of it one of these days.

I think to the side you run the risk of crushing it when your rear tire comes off a drop... if a rock would impact the bumper it would impact the pipe. That said it's the lesser of two evils when compared to going straight out the rear since you're much more likely to hit that given it's the lowest departure angle point.

I think Toyota tried to compromise by tucking the tail pipe mostly up under the factory bumper. You can still contact it as many of us do but it's somewhat tucked for trails which are not hardcore.

I know the feeling, went through the same thing with my resonator chop. told them 3 times during the work how I wanted the end angled and tucked up nice and high...sighh. They barely got the first part right...grrr. As the saying goes “If you want something done right do it yourself”.

Used every bit of that wheel well and then some.... buckled it a bit....luckily I have kut snake flares sitting in the garage
