Let's get some traffic on this bicycling forum!!!

Did this trail today, to save some gas money I just ride from home to the trails and back:

View from my neighborhood - the trails are right behind those hills, it's steep road climb to the trail head:

Top of road climb, check out the elevation sign, yes, it's about 2000 ft elevation gain in just 4 miles:

A picture of the trail, I didn't see a single soul on the whole trails, wished I could pack some heat along:

great idea on the thread. I ride solo most of the time so don't expect pictures of yours truly.

Will post up some photos but need to resize them first.

a. Beautiful neigborhood and scenery

b. that "control your pee" is hilarious, what is it supposed to say?

c. I hate you for having such a beautiful ride to work! :flipoff2:

Thx! The original wording is SPEED, but some biker scrapped of the letter S and D, so it becomes PEE:hillbilly: Right behind those tree is a steep downhill, at the bottom is a stream bed that litter with larger than fist side rocks, the neat thing is during this time of the year it's fully covered with leaves so you can't see what is underneath...I knew some dude forgot this fact and bombed down the trail and got a helicoper ride out of the park for some broken bones

You know, when I was climbing(hiking) up Mt. Fuji this summer I saw a guy carrying his MTB.

Man, it sure looke like it sucked, but I bet he was all smiles on his way down the mountain though!

Did you read Bill's story? He did it. The downhill isn't all that great. "The trail is quite steep and the lava rocks make the riding seem like you are descending a road covered six inches deep in marbles."

I didn't read all of it.

Climbing up was bad enough... felt like taking three steps forward and two steps behind, because of the rocks/pebbles sliding down...

I would never dream of doing it on a bike!!

Bill probably would not do it again, eh? :D

These pics make the trail look boring, but I kept forgetting to stop at the obstacles to take pictures.
For those of you familiar with Albuquerque trails I started at Elana Gallegos and rode 365 to the water tower, then doubled back and caught 230. At Pearl's Dive I doubled back again and I think I got on trail 241 (the one those goes out towards the Pinon Trail.) Anyway, awesome day to ride and I love the SS. I was really surprised what I could climb.

Earlier this week...

I thought about starting a thread about this place that I went with my family, but thought I'd post a couple of the pics from there here.

This was a 5-mile course that this bicycle park had where you can rent various road/mountain bikes for fun.

At this time I was riding an (to me) expensive Italian road bike costing whopping (to me) $2700-ish.

Your rides look a lot more fun than mine!

I usually take the Manhattan Bridge, but on occasion take the Brooklyn Bridge for a change of scenery.

Sorry about the sweaty phone cam pic. This isn't too far from Darwood's hood.

Sometime I'll have to post some pics of the asses I ride with . . .
