dom, I can bring any tools we need, I have 2 helmets (I think) and plenty of wire, tips, etc for the welding, I think your welder is the same as mine so no need to bring that, I do have some scrap I can bring and some welding tools, gloves, etc. I can bring snap ring pliers for the birf removal and some brass drifts as well. I will bring some extra sheetmetal so we can practice welding thin (body panels) as well as thick metal.

anything else?

Oh, and I will bring that can of gas you wanted today so you can burn down all your trucks! :) I've been there, hold on man, and drink a few beers........

I expect strippers as well, oh and pizza.

Noah

I'm thinking if it's not too much trouble you might bring your welder depending on how many people we get and how much people want to practice. I know when I get someone there to show me what to do I like to get right to it and practice. Having your junk too might help facilitate that? Depends on how much time you have too. All the other stuff sounds good.

Nice, count me in too. Dom, thanks for hosting.

Glad to hear there will be access to a welder. I managed to mangle the fill bolt on my rear diff when I was changing fluids (was smart enough to not pull the drain plug first), and local shop wanted $45 to just weld on a nut to remove the fill plug.

Looking forward to meeting everyone else and learning from the masters.

It all sounds good. Count me in please.

I'm in too. Also interested in Welding and Birfs, both great ideas. I think we need to clarify Noah's strippers though...no Adam's apples please

So is this He-Man-Woman-Hater potluck style? Bring beer and food/snacks to share..no plates, no cups, no utensils, no mess?

I'm up for whatever. I will have plenty of beer but if you like something specific... bring it.

Snacks would be good too. I'll look into that...

Hi Dom,

Strippers and Welding sounds like a great combination to me, add a little beer and it sounds like one hell of a IH8MUD party.

I have a couple of welding helmets and some steel scraps that I can bring. Thanks for hosting this event I have been wanting to meet everyone face to face. Working on old rusty metal has been my favorite pass time for years. :bounce:

I will also bring the wiring diagram that I have been working on so you all can see the progress. If anyone wants a copy of the wall size (18"X24") wiring diagram shown in the service manual for the older FJ's let me know and I will bring extra copies.

Cheers,

Jim

Fxxx Ya, that would be sweet! Put me down for one. Put me down for 2, My buddy Matt would like one two, IF you need $5 or what ever for each one to cover printing, no problem.

Fxxx ya, your good for two copies. That is unless you mean Fxxx You then you are out of luck.:D The $5 bucks would help to cover paper and ink, Thank you for the offer.

Cheers,

Jim

Tim, wanna caravan?:steer:

Sure- Want to meet at the Swing Inn for breakfast first?

If I can get a Birfield axle for teardown- I may have to drive the Tundra - or make that receiver hitch for the 40 I have been slackin on to attach my bike hauler on. I could strap the axle on that:hillbilly:.

I have PM's out to:

SurfPonto (if anyone knows him) and my bro CDFarmer.

Also, one of my good friends with a cruiser (not on MUD) will swing by too. It got smashed while parked and the insurance company totaled it but it looks very workable. I was thinking guys could give their 2 cents about a possible fix job. Neither of us have bodywork skills.

Thanks guys!
