....It was an OLD pic...The police are quick to judge!

Here is my '79. I got it last spring and it was in pretty good shape when I got it but I replaced tie rod ends, shackles and put 2" lift, wheels n tires. Some weird things going on with it... baffles all that hear about it. STILL need a top and rear doors. Still want to get steel half doors....Told my mechanic I was getting a fj and he said dont bring it in cuz ...in his words.."they aren't normal". Time to learn myself! I am a newbie to the LC world...but even with realizing how dang hard it is to find a top and non existant aftermarket steel half doors...and it seeming to have a direct line to my bank account, I wouldnt trade it for the world. My buddy said I should have bought a rubicon...ha...I have one less buddy and no rubicon. here is to an amazing machine and everyone here who has cut a new guy some slack and anwserin my crazy questions. :)

Hey Andy....if you see this...look no dents!

Works both ways Ferg!! I hit the Big Blue Box page and drooled all over my keyboard. So now I am scanning the papers for a 60. That thing is bad ass!! I want one!

Lots I still want to do :D

"Told my mechanic I was getting a fj and he said dont bring it in cuz ...in his words.."they aren't normal"" - Tock13

My mechanic told me the same thing when I braught in my 40 to his shop, WTF ?, he said working on the old cruiers is too much of a hastle ??????, since he is an old family friend I didn't give him too much s*#t about it.
Tock13 and Drohweder, very nice cruisers

Did some dashing through the snow today.

Merry Xmas to all from up on the St. Lawrence!

When I bought mine, my family friend mechanic said the opposite. He doesn't mind working on it a bit, its so much easier to work on and simpler than all the other vehicles he fixes. Only thing he didn't like at first was that not all the parts were available at Napa.

That shot of my 60 is in Northern Nevada near the Oregon border. I DO need a lift! (need the $$ and suggestions) She was weighed down with camping gear for a 9-day road trip into the eastern Oregon desert.
