Will be at Bodega Dunes State park? along Salmon Creek Beach. Probably be crowded with all of the warm weather but we have reservations so we should be ok.
I'll have my Green Fj40 with me and we'll be driving around in that so I'll be weasy to spot if you are out there.

Exactly. I'd like to get there around 2:00PM at the latest...get our site...drop the AT off and head south to Millerton Point for some gulping :D.

any trails to run nearby?

Not really. You can get into the Russian River in Geyserville, but that's 25 miles north. There are probably other goods closer in, down by Guernville, but I don't know where.

Cow Mountain in Ukiah would be worth an overnight if you haven't been there. It's about an hour north.

I am leaving early, following Eddy up.

Too much smoke up in Plumas to go camp up there.

Where is the camp / party after the meet?

Anyone? Anyone? Who wants to head out and camp by the Russian River somewhere?

I am on a mission.

That's funny...........well not really funny, but my Dad and I were discussing whether the smoke would be real bad in Plumas. We were coming to the conclusion that the North Coast was the place to be.

Funny thing happened on the way to Petaluma...

All the green juice came out of the noisy thing up under the hood!:bang:

Now I'm looking for a good diesel mechanic in the Bay Area.

I'm running an Australian 1980 HJ45 with an H engine.
Unhappy HJ45.webp

AAA got me home, I think its a headgasket. Had coolant leaking from left side of block, haven't pinpointed the source yet. After the truck cooled down (60 minutes) I popped the radiator cap to see if I had any oil in the coolant, bam! got a five foot geyser of coolant...seems that I have a little extra pressure in the system, glad I waited for it to cool down. At least it was healthy green color.

Was planning a camping trip to the dunes that same weekend, but the campsite was full. You guys must have been the reason! :flipoff2: Unfortunately I hadnt looked at this until now. Bummer!! Wished I would have looked at it sooner and been able to meet up with everyone!!

Better luck next time... Ill look at expedions posts more often. :D

Bummer...a bunch of us were camped at the Dunes after gorging ourselves on oysters and stellar Paella at OysterFest 2008.
