I have a 93 LC & it seem to have some play in the brake pedal when apply the brake. It seem ok sometime & other times it seem to have the play again. I replace the master cyclinder about a 2 years ago & it really been the same way the whole time. Any suggestions anyone?

The last person that installed my rear break pads didn't fold the clips down which casued the pads to move around insdie the caliper, for such little movement it made quite a bit of positive difference.

My money is on an improperly spaced master cylinder arm attached to the brake pedal.

Did you set the spacing on the arm (it is the fork that attaches to the pedal in the cab) to match or exceed the old one? the fork is threaded so you can make the MC have a longer or shorter "throw" to put enough pressure into the MC to make the brakes happy.

I recently replaced just about everything in my braking system so this was one little thing that I noticed that most might miss if they didn't take the time to think it out.

Good luck!
