For the life of me I cannot get the dam pilot bearing from advanced adapters into my 2F crankshaft. I have beat on it with a 4 lbs hammer. I have froze it for 2 hours but it will not move in the cranshaft at all. Yes I have removed the old pilot bearing. Any thoughts? Should I try the pilot bearning BCA 202RE from Autozone instead? Im doing an Orion to SM465 to 2F on a 75 Fj40 using AA components.
I even used a puller and put screws into the crankshart and then tried to use it as a press. That did not work either. I had a nut between the pilot bearing and puller shaft and the pull shaft just bent the crap out of the insite of the nut. The nut inside diamater was smaller then the puller shaft outside diameter but the puller shaft just pressed into the nut and opened it up.
I dont want to do anthing to damage my crankshaft but beating on it to must or try that puller method again...
