Has anyone seen a pig emblem? I've seen the hood ornaments but I thought an emblem would be better.

Dam, that looks like my avatar!

Javalina

The Javalina, a wild desert pig in the Southwest U.S. should be the emblem for the FJ55.

These pigs grunt and stink and are very tough!

javalina are not really pigs though! and they have terrible eyesight.;)

If it grunts like a pig and smells like a pig it's probably a pig

While not genetically related to our domestic pigs, the Javalina is, ecologically speaking, a pig. Besides, FJ55s aren't really pigs either.

On the topic of FJ-55 symbolism...

Both javelina and "pig" are both "Iron" Ungulates anyway ;)

and anyway pigs are solitary by nature while javelina's are social, living in packs... that leaves us with (or always will be) "Iron Pig" as rarely is one sighted among many but on those memorable and infrequent occasions, their presence makes the environment unsure of what to expect from these most honorable beasts.

I've always though this was more fitting.

BUSHPIG, common name for an African wild pig, Potamochoerus porcus, also known as the African water hog, of the family Suidae. It is closely related to the genus Sus, which includes the domestic pig and the European wild boar. The pigs are distinguished by red coats that turn gray with age, long ears tipped with long tufts of hair, elongated snouts, general hairiness, and two pairs of horny growths on the face. The animal is about 61 cm (about 2 ft) high and weighs about 91 kg (about 200 lb). A related species is found in Madagascar.

I dunno, those pigs look way too light, sleek, and fast. When I think iron pig, I think big ol county fair winnin ham. Somethin slow, that wallows in the mud, but there aint no stoppin it.

I dunno, the javalina looks kinda scrawney to be a Pig mascot...
If an animal had to be chosen to represent an Iron Pig it would have to be very big, just as an Iron Pig is very big. The javalina might work for an FJ Cruiser but it's not beefy enough to be mentioned in the same sentence as Iron Pig.
The pig that I have in mind to represent the Iron Pig may or may not exist in this reality, but it's a big one.
Start with the Grandmother of the biggest breed of boar still in existance, trace the DNA back a few hundred thousand years to when they were REALLY big and bad, splice in the hide of an african rhino, the body armor of a triceratops, keep the cute piggy snout and add those cool dual-tusks...that's what I'm talkin'...

I think of HOGZILLA when I think of pigs, just not dead. Although the inop condition of my pig for most of its time with me is pretty well represented by this pic.
