Mine are in a soft bag and laying in the 2nd row footwell. I know, I know, I'm a heathen.

Which soft bag?

LOL!!!

BRG high dollar poly vinyl stuffs.

Yeah, the bag is nothing special to be honest, but it keeps the dirt mostly contained.

I have mine in a soft bag I bought used. It fits up to four and slides behind the second row seats between them and my Trekboxx system. Flip the seat back up and they are out of sight, out of mind, until needed.

Looks like you mounted an AC junction box to the tire carrier? Is that to going to your fridge?
What kind of antenna and mount do you have, great location.

That’s an A/C outlet powered by my large interior inverter. On the other swing out, I have a male, A/C power in...since my fridge runs 24/7. Let’s me plug in at home easily iin about 3 seconds sothat my dual batteries are regularly tended and my fridge power is taken over by house current.

MyBrain is broken or I’d tell you my antenna brand. Very happy with its kocation.

How do you like those safari rails on the Rhino Rack?

They have been great and added little to no wind noise. The light bar works well as a fairing.

I have been considering them on the GX rack. I like the look of the half rail, just might have to try it.

I opted to try the @mcgaskins approach. It worked well. The only thing I wish I'd done differently is to not follow the 27cm (side to side) base hole spacing - since there is a little bit of curvature to the crossbar ribs, the tops of the posts are more than 27cm center to center. The boards still fit, but it takes a little bit of encouragement to align them. I think if they were 3-5 mm closer they'd for better. I might adjust them when warm weather arrives. A teeny bit of elongation of the mounting holes would probably suffice.

The tracks you may not want inside your vehicle. Usually is some slick mud where you need them and unless you have water and a spray hose they are going back on your vehicle coated in mud.

I have been zip tying them up to my roof rack when I go places I'll likely need them, but ideally I like the rear bumper spare tire attachment some of the other guys have setup.

I usually only carry 2.

What I'd love to see is a slim container sized for two MaxTrax, that would live either under cross bars on the roof, or part of a drawer system in the rear. All it would need to do is enclose the MaxTrax to keep the dirt contained, and have (lockable?) opening on the end into which you'd slide the MaxTrax. Basically a box with an open end.

I know @benc from Dissent fame had a similar container on some of his builds.

I could be wrong, but I don't think there is room under the crossbars for two trax.

Front runner for me, only problem is I can’t get in my garage with the bracket on, so I have to attach before I go on a trip.
