Majority of the truck was monstalined and deflared. Currently looking for a new(or used) bumpers. Other than that, not much was done. Replaced few more bulbs with LED’s and currently working on a slide-out solar panel.

Can’t put the solar panel on the roof rack because it will render the roof rack unusable, can’t put it under because it’s gonna be blocked. So currently working on a system to put it on some slides under the roof rack, so it could be slid out. Haven’t really seen anything like this on here so this might spawn inspire some ideas. The solar panel i got us 40x20, and ideally a 40’ slider could be used, but those run into hundreds while homedepot 22’ run about $17.

I have seen some very clean stock bumper trim jobs that gave better clearance. It will do till you get the money for a better front bumper.

Made some changes to the roof rack solar. The panel exactly the width of my conferr roofrack so i’ve decided to mount it length wise. This has removed the need for extra set of sliders as only one 22’ can be used. Only thing i would do different in the future is to extend the aluminum extrusion all the way across the roof rack, since i had different design i’ve already trimmed them. I have also reinforced the corners of the panel.

Finally installed :

I had to notch the back of the panel as it was hitting the top of the bolts that i have in place of oem roof rack holes.

Few little other goodies in hopes of going to SAS2020 but things came up last minute. Installed an AUX fan with a control box as well as a GMRS radio. It fits perfectly in the ashtray if you take out the plastic inserts.

The area in front of my battery is starting to look a bit too busy tho.

Nice rig! 👌

Got any pics of the new nutserts installed in the old roof rack holes?
This is a post from august but no, I do not.
I've tried to reuse the OEM nutserts as much as possible with a metric button head screw and a sealing SS washer. Some OEM nutserts which were spinning got replaced with a standart nutsert. I have bedlined over the roofrack to further waterproof it.

Rear power area?? Will run future fridge and inverter off these studs. Have one 4g welding wire feeding the positive from AUX battery, and two negative 4g going to the body and one to the frame.

The inside switch in the corner is to break or complete the negative leg of the solar panel circuit.

Few months back I've made some rear drawers out of 3/4 plywood and covered them in duck canvas. I was trying to find something more "carpet" like but that's what I got. Overall pretty happy with the results considering that's my first time building something like this. The left drawer is a bit tilted but other than that its pretty good.

Also got a NWTI bumper on black friday. I really like the bumper and the quality, but I think that customer communication could be better. Some events lead me into waiting two months for the bumper, which I understood, but I wish that was communicated to me/kept me updated better. Very happy with how the bumper turned out and NWTI did a good job on it. I have some stick welding experience a long time ago, and I was able to borrow a flux core welder from my coworker. Overall I have welded it inside and out since this is my first time welding with MIG, so I wanted to be sure it's going to hold up. After about 5 or so hours I started to get a hang of it but then I had to weld the hoops, and damn welding pipe is hard. I might have burned more holes than I want to admit lol. I have also added some brackets to reinforce the tube and some internal brackets. For finish I was considering powder coat but I think I'm just going to monstaliner it.

Great set up, can you hear the speaker well in that spot? Ive been considering this but worry it will muffle the speaker.

Haven't updated this in a while, going to dump a few pictures, gull wing install, weather seal replacement, swing tire carrier install.

For the top section of the tire carrier, I did ran the bolts thru the body and then thru the inner pillar as well. This was a year ago and it's currently holding up great.

After two or so years, the pump started to leak again. Finally got to it this weekend since the leak has been leaving spots underneath the truck for few months now.
New pump and the P/N numbers used. Heated up the gear before install to make sure it seats down all the way. Torqued to spec of course ;)

Quite a bit of progess on base lining. I think I just have brake fluid and hosss left and I’m pretty set.
Rebuilt my power steering pump, it’s been weeping out of the back for a while. Pretty straight forward process. The o rings and the seal were rock hard (the seal also has worn two grooves into the main shaft, but the new seal has appeared to seal it still *knocks on wood*). Here are some random pics I took thought out the process.
