Originally on my '96 FZJ80 my passenger side window worked from the master switch and kind of intermittently from the door switch. I had someone break the glass and steal my gym bag on that side so safelite replaced the glass. Now the window doesn't work at all from the master switch and works fine from the PS side. I took apart the master switch and cleaned it real well, I also ordered another one just in case. I looked at all the wiring and can't figure out a good way to test it. Any ideas?

Interesting- I have the same situation in my rig- passenger switch is OK, but driver side not. Cleaned the contacts, no change. I'll be following along on this...

I had the same problem with a couple of my windows on both of my rigs. Cleaning the contacts solved it for a couple of them but I still ended up having to replace one of them.

Well, replaced the master switch with a brand new one, not sure where to go from here, wiring looks good in the looms from what I can see.

Do the rear windows work?

Pop off the passenger switch and leave it plugged in
Have someone roll up the passenger window from the driver switch. Look at my zoomed in picture.
While he's holding the switch "UP" (with the passenger switch plugged in) test for power
Terminal #1 and terminal #2 should have power.
Terminal #3 and #4 should not
Terminal #5 is the power for that switch, it will have power but were not testing that.

Roll window down from driver side.
Terminal #3 and #4 now have power
Terminal #1 and #2 should not

Report back with what you find.

Reporting back. No power when doing these checks. I checked continuity between the wires and the master switch and it came back good, so I realized the issue must be the switch itself, swapped it with a rear one and now it works from the master switch! Thanks for the help in the troubleshooting!

Glad you got it.
When diagnosing something like this, I normally start where ever it was worked on. Its not uncommon for people (in this case the glass guy) to pull apart switch's then reassemble them wrong or missing parts. Many decades in the industry taught me to start with whatever was touched last. Don't get me started on alarm and stereo people.

If I was to throw a part at it, it would have been the passenger switch. Also, the passenger switch gets its ground from the driver switch. Because the passenger switch worked, that proved the wiring between driver and passenger. A quick pin test at the passenger switch, tells about everything.
